Restoration completed Erard Frères 1802 – Fortepiano from the inner circle of Emperor Napoleon and Empress Joséphine

After half a year and intensive research, the restoration of the unique pianoforte by Erard Frères 1802 from the inner circle of Emperor Napoleon has been completed! The instrument was perfectly restored in England by Andrew Durand and Pierre Gaillot. I would like to thank Thierry Maniguet from the Museum Cité de la Musique in Paris for supporting and enabling the examination of the Erard pianoforte there, as well as Alain Roudier for his help.
