After getting the instrument restored in the past time, a weakness in the wrest plank has become apparent in recent years. Due to the tension of the strings the wrest plank come up underneath the soundboard. The soundboard was compressed and cracks appeared.

The instrument is currently being in restoration in England. In the current restoration the soundboard was removed and repaired together with the wrest plank. In addition to that the instrument will get new strings by Malcolm Rose and will be re-regulated.
