Fortepiano I. Pleyel owned by Charles Albert d’Arnoux – Bertall
A special and exciting instrument was added to the Eric Feller Collection in December 2022. After researching the company books of Pleyel, the famous first owner of the newly acquired fortepiano by Ignace Pleyel from 1863 was discovered. It came from the possession of the famous French caricaturist, draftsman and etcher Charles Albert d’Arnoux (Charles Constant Albert Nicolas d’Arnoux de Limoges Saint-Saens), or better known as Bertall (1820 – 1882).
